Lean mince beef – 1.0 kg

Cooking chorizo sausages – 2.0

Red onion – 1.0

Garlic – 4.0 cloves

Sweetcorn – 1.0 tin

Black beans – 1.0 tin

Passata – 1.0 carton

Oregano – 1.0 tsp

Ground cumin – 1.0 tsp

Mild chilli powder – 1.0 tsp

Cocoa powder – 1.0 tsp

Cinnamon – 1.0 tsp

Place a casserole dish on the hob over a high heat. Brown the mince and chorizo together stirring all the time.

Add the onion and garlic. Let them soften for 5 minutes.

Add the spices, salt and pepper and cook out for a minute before adding the passata and a small drop of water to loosen the sauce. Put the lid on and leave it to cook for 20 minutes or as long as you have.

A few minutes before serving, add the beans and sweetcorn. They just need to heat through.

Serve a big bowl of chilli over rice or a baked potato with all the toppings!
